And the winner is... Second Life Offers Business Teleconferencing, Now Penis-Free by Eric Krangel referring to the Linden/RRR announcement this week re Immersive Workspaces. I have to say I saw the video at the VW London conf and was somewhat less than convinced, as were others I spoke to but to be fair I've not tried it yet, it could just be tacky machinima and bad presentation to fault..

I wasn't too happy about this news. So i told LL so in their blog, http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/10/21/immersive-workspaces/#comments and then i got banned for posting anymore, so i alted and kept going, and then i made this

comments are so dead right now, it lead me to push LL in the blogs to improve their blog, and to stop censoring. as a result they are doing damage control right now lol. http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/10/23/update-on-linden-lab-blog-revamp/
im not sure why there isnt more of a public outcry about this but the majority of those who have commented, do not like this "partnership" for many different reasons.
My reason is simply, they didnt consult with solution providers or the community before putting this in place. Aparently RRR talked to their customers for 6 months about their needs. Thats a lifetime in SL.
I found this whole announcement to be an insult to solution providers and the community at large.
